Teflon Foot Solid Low Shank

A Teflon foot (also called a non‑stick foot or ultra‑glide foot) is a presser foot designed to help your sewing machine glide smoothly over sticky, grippy, or hard‑to‑feed fabrics. It is perfect when you’re sewing materials that tend to drag, stick, or skip stitches, such as:

Some rubberised or coated fabrics

Vinyl

Faux leather / leather

Oilcloth

PVC

Laminated cotton

Patent fabrics

Suede and microsuede

Why it works

The bottom of the foot is coated with Teflon (PTFE), which has a naturally slick, low‑friction surface. This means:

• Fabric glides under the foot instead of sticking
• Stitches stay even
• The machine feeds the fabric more consistently
• You avoid that “jerky” movement you get with a regular metal foot
